I don't know what is wrong with your phone, but the KZbin web site on mobile works fine and you get ad block for now. But making comments sucks. For that use the app.

As a Steam Deck owner, it's nowhere near a PS5. It's more like a non-Pro PS4. I hardly play AAA games anyway, so I don't really care. Another good upside to the Steam Deck that some people don't think about is it's basically a laptop as well. Sometimes I'll watch KZbin or do discord voice chat on mine. Mostly though it's emulation and indie games. I'm sure the hacker scene loves the Steam Deck because it looks less suspicious than a laptop but it runs linux, so you could do basically anything on it.

If consoles die, then the financial bar for entry is higher, and a large chunk of players cease to exist. Somebody excited for the next big game, who doesn't already own a console, probably isn't interested in these weird launcher requirements, or spec issues, or any number of variables introduced with PC as a platform. I love PC, but we're not the only people in this space that matter. And yes, consoles have games. Not everybody is an obsessive weirdo with 500 games. Console fills a niche where people can exist in comfort, knowing the software will run, and just being able to turn the thing on and have games running. PC, even for huge AAA releases, still have these weird technical hiccups where you're forced into menus to sort out shader issues or whatever. Like if I'm some guy who just wants Fifa and COD or whatever, then yeah, PC isn't worth it.

Much as I don't want to see consoles go either, the problem we're facing right now is just how Playstation and (*especially*) Xbox has conducted themselves this generation, with the later of which is looking very dire for them. The balloning productions & budgets is taking way longer than it should be for us that we're struggling to remain invested, coupled that we don't that have as much spare change like we used to while the games itselves are charging us more. And just seeing the moves in having to make by porting their games to other hardware is only making this investment harder to justify. Personally I doubt Nintendo is in any trouble themselves so far, judding rumors and interviews I'm getting the impression they've figured things out for the Switch 2. For Playstation 5 and beyond? Hmmmm yeah, it's getting shaky currently unless things change. Now I don't know where consoles are going in the future (though let's be real, Xbox is definitely on it's way out), but I feel it's pretty evidant that we're on track to a console agonstic future. We can only hope that we don't lose the hardware itself entirely in this era x x

I got a PS5 specifically for Alan Wake 2, since that game can fuck over your computer with its intense requirements and I didn't feel like fucking with all the driver bullshit or the insanely slow download speed, or the shitty memory usage from other programs. I have other games on PS5, but Alan Wake 2 was the main reason I bought one.

My desktop takes multiple DAYS to download a game while my PS5 takes a few hours. I don't know what it is about my PC, but it likes to run like shit for no reason, even though it was great a few years ago.
