Hi Ellen, I love how the soap turned out! I enjoy every video you put out. Thanks to you, I learned how soap is made and became fascinated ever since coming across your channel. I've learned how to use soap calc, researched all about additives, the properties of different oils and butters and what they contribute to soap; I learned all about lye and the history of different soaps and so much more. When moving with a temperamental fragrance oil, I often pull out several ounces of my base oils before I mix my lye water solution into my base oils. Maybe a little over twice as much oil as the amount of fragrance I’m going to use and I mixed that oil into the fragrance which seems to dilute it and minimize the acceleration. Mind you I usually go for a solid color soap when I know the fragrance could be a fast mover. 21 years soaping, and I still learn things your videos❤️ keep up the good work and God bless you! Wow, well done Ellen…I’ll keep that tip up my sleeve if I need to…never thought of blending in the mould 👏. I actually managed an ombré pour once with an accelerating fragrance by putting a pipette of the fragrance in at each ombré pour mixing stage which worked really well, so each time I mixed a bit of white to the colour I added just a squeeze of fragrance, mixed then poured…and then repeat loads of times! It turned out amazing and I was so pleased as It was for wedding favours for my sons wedding and his favourite scent was an aftershave dupe which I knew moved a bit too quick for an ombré…that one had me thinking how to do it and it worked well despite being my first attempt at an ombré 😃. Love your videos…you are such a genuine lovely person 🥰

Beautiful soap and the scent sounds delicious - I wish we had Smell-o-Vision! For those problematic fragrances (I'm looking at you BB Sea Moss and Daystar Salty Sailor) I use a high lard percentage recipe to slow things down. Works like a dream.

I truly believe each soaper's recipe plays a role in acceleration. I've used ones from BB that say mild and that's all I got. I've used from other suppliers that say no acceleration and I get moderate to extreme. Anyway, I'm glad it worked for you and you made a beautiful soap (of course!).

Is there a way you can make a video on how you shrink wrap your soaps. I bought a sealer on Amazon to use to shrink wrap soaps and I have had numerous problems with on how to use it, especially to get it to seal properly. LOVE your videos, I enjoy watching them!!

Great tips at the end you gave as far as combating accerlating fragrances. I'll have to say Brambleberry (for me...) has always been transparent with their fragrance properties, at worst they seem to apply the "mild acceleration" descriptor with stuff that didn't accelerate for me too but I'm ok with that. I prefer a fair warning!

Love this soap. When you mix the mica with the sunflower oil do you deduct that oil from your original oils?

No, it's such a small amount, it just adds to the super fat😉 Some folks use the base oils to mix with micas if you don't want the SF.

Thanks! Heat transfer is so quick and convenient, but it makes things move along too fast for me sometimes so I don't tend to use it often..
