MAKING GOOSEBERRY JAM/SOUR CHERRY JAM

My wife and I were very lucky to find some gooseberries at the farmers market, so we decided to make jam with it and that brought back so much wonderful memories of my childhood days. Down memory lane making the famous Gooseberry jam Guyanese style. Not a spread but a jam that is snack eaten without bread. Back to GT school days like you said served on brown hard paper. Every school children of the 60s to 90s at least relish this quick snack. In your case Gooseberry/Sugar Cherry jam. Great idea for a video. Lots of older Guyanese are humming the memories. Oh what sweet memories. Growing up in Barbados, we always made what we called "stewed gooseberries" (same as in your video) whenever gooseberries were in season. Delicious!!!
