Great, but what's the round white thing you circled with black fondant and also what's the secret behind the strength of the fondant?

The white thing is a cake dummy. I use modelling paste for the parts I needed to set harder then usual fondant. You can buy modelling paste or you can make your own by adding gum tragacanth to regular fondant, or by mixing fondant with petal paste (half and half).

Thank you. It was modelling paste, you can make it with half fondant and half gum paste.

What did you paint in the cardboard

Just some water so the sugar paste would stick to it.

Did you cut the cake dummy down? How tall is it?

The dummy I used was 4"wide x 2" tall. It would work with a taller dummy or item, it's just the sugar paste strip that needs to be the height you want.
