Making Half Nuts for the HQ800 Lathe/Milling Machine

Making a new half-nut with a half-nut so worn that I had to take 0,05mm DOC on the threading passes to avoid leadscrew slippage.

Wow, making your own spare parts already. Beautiful work , love brass. I have a CAD and 3D print sleave to easily modify that to a ball screw arrangement if you want. A lot less play and you can connect a motor to it at a later stage if you want.

Netjiese werk. Ja dis nie iets wat ek al probeer doen het nie. Moeilike skroefdraad om te sny ,ek dink. Ek moet n drawbar maak dat ek in reverse kan sny.
