MAKING HAY WITH OLD SCHOOL JOHN DEERE OUTFIT

This video goes back to when hay was a massive part of farming, the John Deere 2130 which is over 40 years old is working the John Deere 459 baler which was manufactured in 1996. Paul talks through the workings of the baler followed by a clip of how we made the hay!

Our first 2130 was bought in 77, still going strong but no where near as smart as your's, you Irish boys know how to turn out a nice looking tractor.

The 2130 was a good tool, ......back in the day I knew a place that could break almost anything - tractor or tackle, ..............they never managed to break a 2130.

Right so it would be lovely if any one can help im looking at buying a 2130 as my first tractor 16 and i was wondering if they have power steering and what to look out for when buying a used machine

Yes they have power steering try to get a very clean one with no rust around cab you may have to pay more but it will be well worth it check hydraulic lift and when you drive check that the steering wheel doesn’t spin in your hand check clutch wear by putting it in high gear letting your foot off clutch with brakes pushed down, if engine cuts out clutch is good, check engine oil level when cold to make sure it’s ok l, also check breather pipe on engine to see if there is excessive fumes as it would indicate poor oil pressure and worn engine, they are lovely little tractor best of luck

Super videos lads I've watched a few of them now. I met yous today on the hill at the shearing but i should have showed you something that might be worth your while getting. Its these Rode wireless mics that i have. I think they could be useful for your stuff. They cost about 200 and youd probably find them on amazon. Just plug them into the phone or camera and they pick up the audio real well from 15 or 20yards or more
