Omg! Thank you so much for teaching me what an idiot I am! I've always thought you had to find a tiny brush & be SUPER CAREFUL when you have to color in the numbers! Your way is FAR SUPERIOR; it's easier (obviously) and the end result is actually much nicer also! I can't believe my whole life I've never known this! Now, I've never actually made any dice, nor had to color in any numbers, but if I ever do, now I'll know how to slop it on there & then just wipe off the extra like a pro! You rock! I'm so thrilled to have learned this trick! 🎉 Seriously, its still blowing my mind! ♡♡♡

Just poured my final cap mold, this is my second go at making dice lol. I hope this turns out even though I don’t have a pressure pot. I view you as a friend as you and rybonator have really helped me through this tough period of my life, my girlfriend attempted suicide and is in the hospital, she’s in terrible condition and I haven’t talked to her in weeks. I don’t really have people to talk to abt this so watching you really helps my mind get off of things. I just wanted to say thanks. And if you have any tips I’d love some on dice or handling emotions. Sorry to bother or put all this on you, you don’t need to think much of this. Wishing the best!

PS it would be cool to see either an uncommon Petri dish dice (maybe with glow in the dark inks or something), or I’m not sure if it would even work but maybe see how silicone oil would work as an effect on dice. I’ve seen some cool effects on resin coasters and stuff but it may not work for dice. But would be cool to see if it does. 👍🏻

I just tried making my own hellfire dice and it looks like I should have listened more carefully. I only let my resin sit for 10 minutes after mixing and then got nervous about it getting too thick (first time trying with resin at the honey stage). So the black ink mixed in more than I would have liked. The dice look ok after inking, but I’m going to try this again for sure! Thanks for the video!

@susannahlewis84643 ай бұрын
White ink sinks in a way that black doesn't, so I would wait for the resin to get a little more honey-y before you pour.

How did you get the Zona Papers to stick to the wheel and still have a flat surface?
@dragonknightdice272 Жыл бұрын
Just water. I just dunk them in some water and press them to the wheel. As long as you keep it wet, it won't fly off across the room TOO often, haha.

@dragonknightdice2722 ай бұрын
@@eileen.prince Yeah, it's REALLY hard to get bubble free dice without a pressure pot. I've always had one, so unfortunately, I can't recommend how to fix that problem.
@jaydenskellington2744 күн бұрын
I just started making dice about a month ago. I unfortunately can't afford a pressure pot right now, but have still managed to make some pretty decent dice. Every once in a while I'll get a bubble in one or two. I've heard that slower pouring helps with bubble reduction.

Love the video and I'm just starting a new set of molds from my first 3d printed masters that I did myself so this popped up at just the right time. I also have one of those mini-pottery wheels that I can use for sanding but I've had some problems using it. I think it's a 3.9" wheel and I have a small mirror taped onto it since I didn't think the alluminum would be smooth enough. But then I'm kinda stuck using blue tape on the zona papers and the actual area I end up being able to sand with is pretty small. I noticed in the video that you didn't tape the zona paper down but it still seems to stick really well. I have some spray adhesive (super 77) but it's so lumpy that I didn't think it'd work well. How are you sticking the paper down to the wheel when sanding and do you have to clean the wheel off before putting the next zona paper down?
@ashers96952 жыл бұрын
Not sure about the speeds on your specific sander but I have a lot of success just using water with zona papers even on my bench sander :)
@blg9883332 жыл бұрын
@@ashers9695 And they stick while sanding? I can pull that off when I'm using my marble tiles to sand flat but the ridges on the alumininum wheel didn't seem like they could be able to generate the suction to hold the paper on without any adhesive/tape

This is one of those times where while we know what you are talking about, pronunciation matters. What you are working with is Silicone not Silicon. SiliCONE is that rubbery substance that your molds are made of as well as many other non-stick items. SiliCON is what your computer chips are made of.
