I've had other BPM baits kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

Not bad in the whole, but the lure doesn't look like finished without airbrush work. But don't worry, the final assessment will show a fishing and I guess that fish don't really care about esthetic. My assessment is 👍.

The objective is to show that we can make lures that are not too expensive and with equipment that is accessible to all. It is a "sardine" color which is very successful in France!

How many grams of weight did you use on this model for an example? :)
@thefishermanbuilder96056 жыл бұрын
It depends on the swim but I would say around 8-10 grams :)

@@thefishermanbuilder9605 thanks alot! I wanna make a perch wobbler that is the size 5-9cm but i dont want it to weight 20 grams xD But for a 5cm wobbler "slow sinking" how many grams would i need to put in it? just guess quick :)
@thefishermanbuilder96056 жыл бұрын
Everything depends on the density of the wood...I would say... 2grams. You have to test and see in a basin of water ;)

Great video. Am looking to start making some lures for self use. How strong are the fittings? Concerned if I get a large pike it may pull the eye wire out? I always thought wire through was standard? No criticism just an honest question as this method seems much easier.
@thefishermanbuilder96057 жыл бұрын
No problems Matt :-) The fittings are very strong, the diameter is 120/100 mm (French measure). There are no deformation problems after taking a fish. For jerkbaits or common lures, trade, the fittings are 100/100 mm. So the one I chose is really big and strong! Glued epoxy with several layers of varnish on top, nothing moves ;-) We can also make a transverse system with a looping pliers and if it interests, I could make a video on it. I hope to have answered your questions and I wish you good luck in making homemade lures :-)

Salut tu utilise quel vernis pour la finition ? Merci à toi pour cette vidéo bonne continuation 😉
@thefishermanbuilder96057 жыл бұрын

Hello, I have a series on my channel called "What to watch Wednesdays" where I feature a playlist of videos from other youtubers who I have either learned from, been inspired by, or entertained by. This week's topic is all about hand crafted baits and lures. Would you mind if I add this video to this week's playlist?
