That was actually a neat way to fabricate a 'T' slot. I was thinking you may need to modify bolt heads so they can't spin in the future when things wear in. 220mm is a big diameter for a small lathe, I couldn't do it as my lathe doesn't slow down enough. (500rpm is slowest it goes) I have used an angle grinder bolted in place of tool post to grind larger diameters around 185mm

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 To be honest, a heavier lathe is always better as it won't vibrate so much and is more stable. If possible, fill hollow area's with hydraulic cement/concrete (not 'ordinary' Portland cement) as it doesn't shrink and is much much cheaper than epoxy. I trained on much bigger lathes and actually owned a very nice Colchester for a few years but had to sell it when I moved

How many times have we got to watch you flapping your hands over a bit of rusty iron as though we've never seen it before ?. Do you really think that we don't know what a piece of iron looks like ?. A thirty minute video which could have been cut down to five. Oooh, can you show us that roundy thing again, I don't think I quite got it the first time ?. And is that an actual rusty bolt I see there ?. Do you buy them ready rusted, or do you have to take the time to rust it yourself ?.

@@FrankBrown-c5l thanks I thought I seemed crazy cause modern countries use machine making, which by me is handwork because I'm living in the third country that did this. It works and it helps me continue the machine but by hand is not perfect at all. Today I almost finished holding lathe, only one is stuck making the menu south bend carriage I hope can find some of the gears. Thank you for helping me watch.
