We agree with you completely. Waste not, want not. Our dog, which is a large breed animal, cannot have "grain free food." We saved him as a puppy. He has electrical/ muscular issues within his heart. Unfortunately, he's on 4 meds, but we make his food as well. He was a runt and we were told he wouldn't survive. Now he's 9 years old. 🐾 💯 💗

Even grain free foods have stuff in there that I can’t identify. I love knowing exactly what they are getting!

We’ve been making our own dog food for over 15 years now. We do it pretty much the same way, except we use a crock pot to cook, and an emersion blender to combine. And then store in freezer containers. Easy Peasy!

I love knowing exactly what they are eating. No junk or fillers, just healthy whole foods.

That is such a great way to use older meat in the freezer that is still good. Making premium food for your animals. And I am in 100% agreement predator type animals like dogs and cats are meat eaters not grain eaters. We always had a barn cat or two when I grew up in the UP. They did a pretty fair job, at keeping the mice out of the grain for the cows, chickens, and pigs.

I still have enough to make another batch. 😬. I do love knowing exactly what they are getting. No junk or fillers, just good whole food.

Awesome way to use up extras for sure our kitties love their meat :) 👍They hunt for their own but i share all the time with the cats & dog, If i had time to just cook for them i know they would be happy !

I really like knowing what’s in their food as well. I’ve got enough for another batch as well. They’ll eat good for a while. 😁
