Making hydrogen gas using a solar panel / Electrolysis of potassium hydroxide solution from wood ash

In this video I demonstrated how you can store solar energy in a form of hydrogen gas by electrolysis of water
I prepared a solution of potassium hydroxide at home using wood ashes and hot boiling water
I exposed the solar panel at the sun and connected the negative terminal from the solar panel at the point where we want to collect hydrogen gas and positive terminal from the solar panel at the point where we want to get oxygen gas. I have no interest in collecting oxygen gas so I ended up releasing it in air
The positive electrode used was graphite the center of dry cell and aluminum wire was used as a negative electrode
The use of graphite electrode as a positive electrode is advantageous as it doesn't get used up in electrolysis process
