Great job Jason. In my 34 years of locksmithing I did many of the GM ignition cylinders. People would come from nearby states so I could work on their auto locks. The bigger lockshops didn’t like to work on the “old stuff”. This was my specialty. It keeps the customers happy and they keep coming back. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good stuff. Love that little pen style push in reader. Even the Keedex reader is pretty simple and cool.

Awesome _ I have done a few of those locks for my friends Tri 5 collection (Chevy 55 / 56 / 57) and I learned a few new tricks -- I don't have any of those decoder tools, but I get the idea -- Thanks for Sharing

Very cool keying and Awesome camera work! I worked on a 65 Chevy recently. I made a key from the door lock. Got Lucky as the ignition was keyed the same.. or at least the key I made turned it 🤔

Can I ask you a simple question. I just restored a 99 chevy with the vats passlock 2. key works fine starts eveytime issue is about 10 times a week cant turn to the off position can kill engine but cant turn the swith to off where power goes off? I just cant figure out whats happening. The bar that the key lets drop when inserting I ground that down thinking would fix. Its not in the shift part that I can see. Ive cleaned and lubbed Ive looked n looked. Its to the point Im getting agitated I study it but cant understand whats stopping it. IF I was within 150 miles Id just pay you! tell me whats going on and I will paypal you for advice!

I don't drill these. I have a set of 64 try outs that work of all of these. On the old ones you only have 4 depths.

Adding up to an even number is only good for 67 and up. As stated, aftermarket for 67 and up don't necessarily follow the even rule.

yeah, I remember when I first worked on one my boss at the time said “it’s *supposed to, but absolutely don’t believe it” right after that it didn’t 😂 he was like “see?”
