I've tried to get crafty with those shells before. The smell was like burning biology (hair or sizzling nightcrawlers). I was wondering if you would comment on the aroma and was not disappointed. Very cool idea. Your ability to come up with truly new and interesting work is impressive and inspiring. Artist.

Just some history: South African dude, been here since the early days. I've not only learned most of what I know about lure-making from this so-called Nate fella, but learning with him and watching his vids feel like shootin' the sh!t with an old mate by now. Sometimes the world shrinking doesn't feel as bad as it actually is. Thanks, Nate. If indeed that's your real name. 👊🏼😁

Those mushrooms in the yard thrive when there is wood chips or tree and shrub leaf particles in the soil(possibly from a lawn that was just put in with fresh new soil?), once the organic matter has broken down enough the mushrooms will slow down, you can also try Dolomite lime will help to speed up the process and discourage the mushroom growth.

Nate, had a video idea for ya. Maybe April Fools day. Do a river bank build where you don’t take ANYTHING with you. Like a bait foraging. But you hide your tools around the area and “find” a perfect block of wood in a tree, find your drill in a bush, super glue and baking soda under a rock. 😂
@Sainte3054 ай бұрын
Howdy Nate, great video as always! Since you're experimenting with different stuff lately, I have two lures that could be cool. Well, one might not, but the second is. Do you think you could do a leather wrapped lure, not sure if it could work, but it popped into my head, so I had to ask. Another idea I thought of comes from my buddy who builds guitars. He made one with a ton of fiber optic lights and it was really dope. Could you make a lure with fiber optics or maybe LED's? Awesome stuff man, always look forward to your videos.

That bait looks killer! So glad to see you have a dust mask on working with shell. I work a lot with it making pens and the dust can be highly toxic. Would’ve used a dremel for the gill plate vs the file but then you kick up more dust and yes…the only that smells worse than shell is deer antler. 🤮
