Making katana koshirae, component tsuba 2/5

Depends on the time and sword school they are made in. There are old tsuba made of wrought Iron, folded steel, brass, copper, various bronzes as shibuichi or shakudo and combinations of all of these. There were very simple ones and very ornamental ones. So what is normally?

@Miredninja : You can not build a project with katana, but you can try with tanto! I'm building a tanto project with a lotof power tools purchased by my saving! They're very simple : A table grinder, a jigsaw, a Routertable, a lot of chisels, files, handsaw, drill. Once try, you won't regret! Try it, buddy!

what alloy or type of metal is the tsuba made from? same question for the seppa? you are a skilled craftsman. thanks for sharing. I have been learning for 2 years, and i am impresed by your work.

@charivari: Thank you my friend! But You misunderstand my idea! Miredninja said that he can not make a project with katana, so I advised him to start with tanto. I had watched the wally hayes dvd, but the method of wally is the bad point of Miredninja : a lot of Wood tool and forge tool!
