Making Ketupat & Dodol for Hari Raya Haji + GEARBOX Asam Pedas - Malaysian Kampung Life in Melaka

Foreigners celebrate Hari Raya Haji or Qurban (Aidiladha) in Melaka, Malaysia 2020.
After we celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Kuala Lumpur a few months ago with Abang Ajib, he brought us around to his hometown in Melaka! So grateful that we can travel or “balik kampung” this hari raya with the RMCO in Malaysia taking place. Last hari raya, we celebrated in semi lockdown during the Malaysia MCO coronavirus lockdown.
Anyway, Abang took us to his Malaysian Kampung in Tanjong Rimau, Melaka. He visited his childhood home which has many exotic fruit trees surrounding it. The area has rambutan, cempedak, jack fruit, and duku. We had fun visiting his village. We also visited his sister's eatery called Waklan Cafe where we were taught how to make ketupat and tried yummy food.
After that we went to visit the Chinese mosque in Melaka where its architecture i shaped like a Chinese temple. Cool! We got to fly our DJI Mini drone around to practice our droning skills.
Then Abang took us to make dodol at Dodol Cair Gula Melaka...cool experience! And to end our day, we went for dinner at the Hang Tuah Restoran which is famous for its Asam Pedas including the GEARBOX Asam pedas! What a great day we had.
