Cam, you’re one sick puppy. Great video. Have you got a tutorial on modulating basses to get this type of sound from those serum parches?

So find a sample, pop things though bits and bobs to get a bitty crackly John Bonham then make it snappy by chopping top n bottom, lighten it to achieve a metallic sort of heavy overdriven vibe. Not forgetting pitched layering. Finally, crank things up til your ears bleed. Fit for all sub genres.

You are that rare man who has own balls and don't overboost low and low-mid frequencies in your voice after recordings. Or at least doing it quite accurate. ))

Hi, Venus! Could you tell me, what PC configuration (cpu, ram, gpu etc.) do you have? What tips could you give in this area? I ask it in terms of preparing my own which would be enough for music production and sound design for 3-5 years ahead Your tuts are awesome as always!

Haha unfortunately for that you're on your own. Check out Freeclip if you don't have it though, great for adding some 'thiccc' to any sound or just getting a tiny bit of extra level out of something...................................or totally crushing it 😁

I am wondering if you take into account the phase alignment when layering your drum hits (i.e. Kick/Snare)?

I am unfamiliar with whatever program you are working in. For the actual software/daw/plugin that you are using to edit and compile the slices, can you recommend something similar and efficient that I can use in Cubase? Would something like Battery work?

Yo! In Cubase, you can use Grooveagent for the same process!

anyone in ableton who wants what disperser does, add a couple of eq3s in series to your chain and you will get thr same sort of sound
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Close! Disperser is actually a special allpass filter effect. One way to sorta recreate it would be a phaser with many poles (like 30+) with a large bandwidth and no feedback with a 100% wet mix with no modulation. Then, you can use the frequency to find the target area you want to enhance. Not totally the same, but a closer approximation!
@marscrasher4 жыл бұрын
@@VenusTheory eq3 acts as an allpass filter when you dont use any of the bands, its just weak. you then just put a few in series and you get a stronger effect. you can also change the split points in eq3 to accentuate different frequencies. i see what youre saying with the phaser but its not entirely practical as most phasers dont do that many poles. idk if you have ableton but try it
