One thing that'll help with body hair is don't let it look too one-directional. Let a LOT of it cross at various angles. It should also not neatly follow a shape unless our guy trims it into one. I think your last Bara boy had some really good looking body hair. You got a great character likeness on this one! It's definitely an Akin doll, and it's also definitely the detective!

i'll keep that in mind, and yeah for some reason grizzly's body hair turned out pretty good and i can't figure out what i did right with that one lol. and thank you! glad you like him!

since this comment is already here just adding another thought, @@hisnameisAkin even if a person's hair is black, hair usually reflects light so it doesn't end up looking fully black unless the strands and growth are super thick. it's incredibly hard imo to get that thin on a doll scale, so maybe try using a few shades lighter than the colour you want the hair to be? in grizzly your strokes are shorter, the directions are more varied and follow a flow rather than a single direciton, also even the thickest parts don't look too black if that makes sense (yes i checked lmao) so in addition to previous suggestion, couple shades lighter paint or thinning out your black paint could help maybe? 🤔

I enjoy a lot of people’s work in this space, and there are a lot of good artists. But I can confidently say, NO ONE does it like you do! Even without the body modifications you still gave us a hot zaddy in a tailored suit. Your art is amazing, but please don’t think you need body mods for us to enjoy it. ❤

your version is very handsome! He turned out so well! I love his little fly away bang hanging in the front. the body choice was perfect it matched the animated version very well especially when the suit was added. My favorite half was the shrinking method. It does wonders! I hope you experiment with it more in the future. I think it also enhances the features especially if a doll has a more chiseled or sharp cheek and facial structure. There's a youtuber who teaches tricks to train the head to shrink and shape how you want it. i forget her name but she used fairytale high dolls in her video. one preview pic is one in a jar of acetone if that helps. if ever you want to experiment further with shrinking i strongly recommend.

thank you! and yes, head shrinking makes the facial features a lot more defined but at the same time it can distort the head (at least during the drying process). i referenced dirili for the head shrinking process

I've never seen that anime before , so I don't know this character except from the picture you show at the beginning , but this doll looks just like the character ! All that work paid off ! I used to read the Detective Conan manga as a kid, it was one of the few manga series that were published in Finnish back in like around 2008! Me and my sister ended up owning around 50 volumes. The doll looks just like the character, so great job! Your doll customization work is so unique, I love seeing all the characters with facial hair and body hair.

Hi, maybe use your watercolor pencil for chest/body hair? But avoid solid black, maybe burnt umber to start with. Beautiful doll, Your sewing skills are amazing.

For the body hair, maybe you should try using multiple tones of paint, instead of one color? Like, start with a lighter shade, then work towards the shade your going for. Natural hair is multi-toned, so maybe that's what is making you feel like the body hair doesn't look that great. Just a suggestion! I personally like the body hair!

that could be the problem yeah, but what actually irritates me is how inconsistent my hair streaks are, some are way thicker and more opaque than the other and i don't really know how to control it, my technique seems to be the problem. thank you for the input!

I am prety sure G2 and G3 male body is the same, the only diference is that currently Clawd is the only one with human skin color
