Madam can u teach how to use leg to control the speed on needle up and down? Because why mine is really fast, did u make any adjustment? Please

My machine is not electric in any way so I do not have a leg control. My machine is a treadle machine that works only by pedaling with my feet so I can go as slow or as fast as I like.

@@MarilynLeefabricthreadartist thank you madam for your response, my machine is thredle machine too. But still the pedal i feel fast especially when to control the embroidery round frame when doing the push and pull technique to embroidery. Can u teach how to do right pedaling technique. Especially to control the speed when pedal

@@ZzulfadliNasir The only way to control the speed on a treadle is with your feet. Don't pedal so fast and practice to learn to slow down and go very slow. I did not do any adjustments and I don't know of any that you could do to the machine to make it go slower. You have to learn to control the speed with practice. You may try putting your feet in a different position....maybe that would help?

Hi Zulfadil, it's cool that you are trying this with your treadle machine. I hope you can figure it out. My machines are all older electric ones and I have a hard time getting consistent slow speed with the electric foot control. Seeing what Marilyn is able to do with the antique treadle machine makes me wonder if I should be looking at trying that in the future. Best wishes for your pursuit of this beautiful and challenging art form.

Hello! Your work is amazing! I noticed that you have something under your project. Is that something to protect the machine from scratch? I'm just curious. Thank you.

Thank you. It is a piece of very smooth thin plastic sheeting to help my hoop slide easier on the bed as I embroidery.

What is the backing material for the lace?
@TheVerdantGryphon4 ай бұрын
I don’t think there is a backing. I think she’s stitching onto nothing and anchoring it at the other end. The mind boggles.

There is no backing material......it is done "through thin air".......like a spider weaving a web.
