Always enjoy watching your videos. Congrats on hitting 40k subs! I'm still on the sidelines AKA I have four bars but that's as far as I get. I think part of my problem is I'm trying to translate from piano writing to music production, which aren't exactly the same thing. I think the other part is the workflow, haven't quite figured out what works, do I start with drums, chords, melody ... tough choice. I'm curious, it looks like you start out with drums / percussion to help build your songs. Do you start with one part to help you get into the groove / beat of the music? Or is it a mix sometimes chords sometimes melody?

How do you approach writing lyrics?

It all depends! Sometimes it's based off a concept that I then write to, but most of the time its rooted from random words I sing while creating a melody. If a phrase sticks, then I base the whole song on that phrase.
