You're right, it does give a great read from a distance. Amazing job! To get that 45° angle on the edges of the cardstock to make the box, use something with a 45° angle like a carpenter square and run the piece across sandpaper. That will give you that edge and it will be a good fit between all the sides. Putting the triangle pieces on the inside for stability was a great idea. Love this movie, and Clive Barker in general, and I cannot wait to see your take on Pinhead.

Thank you ❤️ That's good to know for future projects. I remember back I college there was a tool specifically for cutting 45° angles for displaying work. Handy thing to have. I love Clive Barker's work, I've got quite a few of his books.

It's a great, and very unusual prop. Yours is brilliant. Thank you. Years ago, I had a licenced 1/1 scale plastic kit of the Lament Configuration - and it freaked some people out. I took it to work, and some people didn't even want to look at it, almost as if they believed it could summon Cenobites. I understand now, that someone has produced one that opens in the correct manner. I think I might like one of those. Watching your video made me dig out the 10" EP by Coil, of their unused themes for 'Hellraiser.' It's weird, dissonant, and deliciously creepy. It actually freaked out Clive Barker, writer of 'The Hellbound Heart', which 'Hellraiser' was based upon.

Glad you like it 😊 I'd love a version that "worked", I image that would be incredibly complicated to make. I haven't heard the Coil sound track. I knew they did one though. I'll have to look it up on Spotify. I heard the studio listened to it and were like NOPE 🤣 Did you know that Clive Barker did the lightning effects and stuff at the last min coz they ran out of money?

@@craftingwithcasca - The Coil tracks are incredible. There's an awful lot of very low frequency bottom end on them. It's the sort of music that, on first listen, seems 'wrong', like their terrifying version of 'Tainted Love', and similarly, Laibach's cover of 'Jesus Christ, Superstar', which sounds like it's coming from the depths of hell, and being sung by Old Nick himself. And no, I didn't know about Clive Barker having to do effects work himself. Thank you for that! 👍👍👍

I think I'm missing something here, but why didn't you just print the designs out on the gold paper to start with? You did a great job on the box, and I'm looking forward to seeing next week's video.

Thanks 😊 I did try printing it but I think the card was too thick. My printer just wasn't having it and kept making horrible noises then spitting it back out.

You should get a Silhouette vinyl cutter. Even without it you did an amazing job.

Thanks, it's a bit out of my price range at the moment but something to think about for a later date maybe.

Well as usual I don’t have a reference I’ll look it up later. Even without knowing the show it looks very cool.

Would wearing gloves next time ever help or would it even make a difference? Maybe it depends on the type of gloves?

I doubt it. I think the issue is that I hyperextend my fingers. I do have some finger splint/ring things but I couldn't find them.
