OHHH!! When threading your overlocker, cut the thread at the spool and tie the new color on, set all the tensions to 0, and pull them through. You will have to re-thread the needle(s), but it's SOOOOO much easier than trying to thread the loopers! :D
@craftingwithcasca4 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for this! I new about tying the new thread on and running it through but I didn't know about setting everything to 0. That probably explains why that technique never worked for me lol.

2 meters? That could be enough for a 50s style slip if it's not too long. Also that lace bra is so cute! I seriously need one. What brand is it from?

So cozy and cute! Pink works great with it! I am not sure how to say it but its like the strength of the colours (how much pigment they have I guess?) is similar, so they are both soft and in the same colour family sort of. It ends up looking like you did it on purpose.

Love a good spooky dress, and this is a good spooky dress! I'm sure you'll get lots of use out of it. I think the lapels might be sorted with some heavier interfacing.

just have to say i've rewatched this video at least twice in the past two months. it's such a good resource on how to make perfect fitting pants! especially as i'm not that much of a visual person and i'm not good at shapes. just a question: when sewing the pants, do you sew each front panel to the back panel, or the front panels together and the back panels together?
@craftingwithcascaАй бұрын
I'm so glad you've found it useful! I'll sew the fronts together and the backs together, then join the fronts to the backs at the side seams so I have tube. Then I'll stich the inside leg fronts to backs.
@clairewulfАй бұрын
@@craftingwithcasca thank you!
@ReinaElizondoАй бұрын
Pretty! The fit is lovely, and the print is so cute! I like the neckline. Maybe for the points to lay flat, add some pad stitching but with the points lightly curved towards the body instead of lapels which would be folded away? I think if it was a little more curved outward, it would look on purpose, lol.
@craftingwithcascaАй бұрын
Thank you! I'll have to give that a go next time I try a neckline like this.

Wow it's so cute! Well done on getting it done so quickly! I love the pointed cuffs, and seeing them finished so well was so satisfying! I really like the neck line poking up, gives it a bit of a popped collar feel. Also it looks like it fits around your waist really well, looks like that taper worked out great.
@craftingwithcascaАй бұрын

As I was watching your video, my 26 yr old and passed by and said it's about time I watch sewing done by a normal person. When my son was 7, we went to an Autism social. He was afraid of bullies and new people. He had a nice time interacting with the other kids and adults. At home as I was putting him to bed, he said "there were normal people there mother". After that he thought and decided the only normal people are those with Autism. Therefore 99.1% of the population is not normal and has serious problems. He used to get into trouble at school walking up to neurotypicals with a soft compassionate voice and ask them how is it they are coping with being so abnormal. The pattern would be neat and I could make a matched pair for my grandsons. Apparently I am the only granny who sends black goth clothes, plush monsters and coffin shaped cookies to her grandchildren. I am tempted to send them Lacuna Coil CDs.
@craftingwithcasca2 ай бұрын
I am far from normal 🤣 You're son definitely has the right idea, I often feel like the way autistic people process information makes so much more sense than the way neurotypical people do, like, just say what you mean lol. You sound like a cool granny! I would have loved to have gotten stuff like that when I was a kid.
@bohemiansusan28972 ай бұрын
@@craftingwithcasca thanks. Relationships were a nightmare and then I met a really tall Hippie, 20 years older than I. Nearly twenty years of marriage and I had the time of my and we got a long really despite having almost nothing in common. One of our kids had issues and after years of therapy and getting this kid evaluated, we find out that she is normal and the rest of family including my husband and myself are Autistic. So I have five kids with autism and one that doesn't. My youngest who is almost 24 and autistic is in medical school and the mother of my grandsons. We used to wear matching mother-daughter goth outfits.
@craftingwithcasca2 ай бұрын
@@bohemiansusan2897Nice one for your youngest. Also that's so interesting, makes me wonder if the gene responsible for autism is a dominant gene.
@bohemiansusan28972 ай бұрын
@@craftingwithcasca it's not a dominant gene but I wonder. Two autistic parents have only a 25% chance of having an autistic child, except for me. I no longer care about being cool or liked. There is too much in this life to bother with toxic and petty people. 🙂
@bohemiansusan2897Ай бұрын
@@craftingwithcasca its not dominant, I just happen to be stranger than fiction.
