Praying you all stayed safe from Hurricane Milton. I am a 30 minute drive from the devastating flooding in Tennessee. Had worked in those areas and driven up and down those highways and crossed those now gone bridges many times. I was wondering if your grandparents cabin was saved. Praying it was. So random but what bible do you use? I use the Ascension App but I really and truly want a good Bible! I have one that my husband purchased for us years ago that isn’t Catholic (at the time he did not realize it), but since we are Catholic I feel like that’s the one I need to have. I struggle to find one with thick pages so I can highlight it. Not sure if you can share yours. I have bought and returned so many because the font is too small or the pages are too thin.

It’s true about Asheville. I just drove from Nashville to centralish NC and all roads going through Asheville are closed down. They reroute you northbound. So I had to go up to VA to get through. But my family is all in St Pete and other then losing two cars they had minimal damage due to flooding from Helene only because their house is on stilts so it was just their garages and the inside stairs in ground level with water damage, but so many people I know their homes were just destroyed, which like you said is devastating but as a Floridian is not shocking. But now they are about to get hit again and it’s really concerning. The city isn’t even remotely recovered only to get hit less than 2 weeks later. My parents are concerned their house isn’t going to make it. Last I saw they were predicting 12ft surges. This hurricane season has been a really scary one and there are still several weeks left of it
