Affordable housing in Malaysia has a bad reputation, being generally associated with congestion, notorious parking woes, a lack of cleanliness, and social ills. But one estate in the Lembah Jaya constituency in Ampang, has proved otherwise. READ MORE: str.sg/wvvf

I always tell my foreign friends who are much impressed with the clean and green environment in Singapore that such situation is not due to very discipline and well behave Singaporeans. It's to a large extent due to the very efficient Ministry of Environment that make sure the areas are clean daily including collection of trash.

Lmfao pls. You're giving credit to wrong ppl. It's the cleaners doing the work. Gahmen only wayang. So many of them not given proper gears but they still work with what they've got. On the other side of things, it's getting more dirty as the frequency of cleaning dropped and the new cleaners dont seem to be equipped with the skill and knowledge to use the equipments efficiently. My estate last time is clean enough to sit on ground,now so dirty i even have to siam when walking.

@@RonLarhz How is it I gave credit to the wrong ppl? Are the cleaners from the Ministry of environment? Yes, No? How clean is based on your own opinion. As long I'm concern, they've done a pretty good job generally.

The copies of Malaysia is so difference from those in Singapore. They have big space but the up keeping of the buildings is not up to standard. There is no proper up keeping making to make the place clean and higenic.

It all depends on which locations in Malaysia. Some are really clean and safe. Most importantly it’s much lower cost than Singapore . It can be as low as rm300 a month on rental or less than Rm200,000 per unit for purchase .

SG HDB dwellers after 58 years still have inconsiderate neighbours that just dump and treat their living environment like junk yard (throwing food, furniture, eWaste at life landings etc) Not 1 day can our cleaning crew take off. This video reminds SG how lucky we are.

its all the while compulsory, but people not paying means they are not paying. This is one of the reason why most of the buyers in malaysia are aware that they need to pay more to get better neighbours. Better neighbour means they can expect their neighbours to be civilised. People being nice and tell you “it depends on area”, what they meant is the price tag of the high rise. The price tag separates people. The truth is very very discriminating, but it doesn’t change the fact that cheaper location is plague with cant afford/pretend cannot afford/why I have to pay, all sort of reasons/excuse

These Bottom 40 poor people tend to stay in the same low cost flat until they die...no extra effort to get out of poverty and live or retire in nicer homes...these low cost meant to be temporary shelter...until they move up the social ladder...but once they get, they will chill out, laid back and continue to stay in poverty...this is what is meant by Mahathir when he said Malays are lazy...its not that they are lazy to work, in fact most of them are hard workers, but it is their mindset for preferring to stay in current comfort zone and no effort to improve their lives. Malaysian chinese are the opposite. If the parents are poor they will do anything in their power, work and save like hell, to ensure their kids get the best education and break the poverty cycle..

@CalvinK300
@CalvinK300 Жыл бұрын
It is alright to copy a better solution. In fact it is OK for Singapore to even give advice. Reason is if the residents are doing well, it means Singapore has a prosperous and peaceful neighbouring country. Pride in our homes is one underrated legacy of Lee Kuan Yew. HDB is really a boon to Singapore.

second richest or third richest la.. -.- but it is the country with most optimum resource to be the richest country in SEA. Meaning malaysia is the country best fitted to be the richest in SEA. But it just like all other location with optimum conditions, people tend to not feel the urgency to develop fast or "go the extra mile" because its already pretty comfortable

Cost of cars (excluding CoE) is actually reasonable for the citizen. However, when you factor in the need for car for movement about the neighborhood, this becomes unreasonable and pricey. There should be an emphasis on improvement on public transport and a reduced need for car to help needy family.
