This is the first time for me to make a soap like this. My husband will be my tester. :) This is a simple soap with bentonite clay and pumice for exfoliation. Thank you all for watching. Please visit my etsy site for soaps that are available.

Thanks for watching! I thought of the tea tree but decided not to use it. But I may next time. We will see what they say on how it works. :)

Jenn in the other soaps u are going make. St John’s Wart can Interfere with medicine potency. Like a heart medications efficacy decreases if the patient is using St. John’s wort as a supplement or topical Just FYI

Hey Jen just an idea on your essential oils you could use the Tea Tree which would be great if your dad or hubby gets any cuts on their hands. It just popped into my head and I thought I would comment. Great Video's!! I just subscribed to you and now I have to do some catching up :) Thanks for sharing Debby

This would make a great dog--petting soap. When I pet my dog too much (he says there's no such thing as petting him too much), I get dog-dirt coating my fingers. So I need a scrubby soap to get it off!

If you do that again just use some super glue, nail glue, and or band aid glue... will also stop the bleeding and also heal with a very minimal of scarring..... not for major major cuts...

Ive been wanting to make a soap like this for my husband that is a plumber/heat & air guy, but I cant think of what would be a good recipe. No im not asking you for your recipe, but can you guide me on how to pick the oils that would be best?

corena garoutte in my opinion a good moisturizing soap is best. Their hands get beat up at work. and we dont want to make it worse with a harsh soap. So i say a moisturizing soap, the clay to help remove excess oil, and the pumice or whatever scrubber you want to use. :) that is what i do.

How did the soap turn out? Lol. It’s an old video, but the soap looks good. I’m wondering about using D-limonene.

Thanks for sharing, but it was super informative about cutting off your pinky finger, not so much for actually making the mechanic's soap. No information such as ingredient list with amounts, and what is happening in the different steps... I will try to check some of your other videos..... but not hopeful.

SCARY! No gloves, questionable mixing containers (I've had cups melt when I first started soaping). Soaping can be dangerous so this is definitely not a video for newbies. Even though I've been soaping for 5 years, I still have a VERY healthy respect for the dangers of lye.
