Struggling with that topic myself also, i compare it with a speech conversation telling a story for a group of people, people utilizing many different structures trying to say something and often we see the same patern coming back but it depends on the content and what the person is trying to say. I see the Chorus as the part in a piece of music where it all comes together most of the time its the "loudest part". You can use structures of reference tracks for yourself to practice, just write out the transitions and try to make a song with the same organisation. But yeah you will have to ask yourself the question what is it that i wonna say, do i wonna use a structure of somebody else or do i wonna make it my own twist. I think there are no exact rules here, just have fun and see what works. Practice :) Cheers.

All my tracks i use kinda same structure witch i i made by myself , but before few weeks a label told me that i m not having HOOK in my track and i started asking myself did i know enough about arrangement.

this is a rediculous challenge for no gain, now peaple say try with no automation next time! it would be hell of a challenge not to use F C C# in Fm!

Although there really are more than 3 notes here, since different octaves are used. C3 isn't the same note as C4. They are of the same "pitch class" (notes that sound similar but with different octaves). The difference? Making a melody of truly 3 notes is really hard. Making a melody based on 3 pitch classes makes it possible to go up and and down beyond the three chosen notes!

3 notes seems tough, but I’m finishing a track now that only 2...G and G#. I think in techno it’s not that difficult. Especially if you’re using a rumble bass. There are no chords, just pers, hats and ear candy.
