Back in 1981 newly married me and my husband was giving a large wooden spool like that and we made a coffee table with it...just through a round table cloth over it...bam great table, just starting out. And great to put your shoes around it on the bottom spoil, no one can see them...I love what you do, I bet your wife gets to redecorate here house often. Keep it up brother

I used to work in a group home that had a huge wooden spool for a dining room table with a lazy susan built in right over the hole in the middle. I am sure that table has been in use for over twenty years. It can seat 10 comfortably. It was also great to help the residents feel like they were eating at a big family table. So good for morale.

Oh my , I can't believe what people throw away where you are . Here in canada there is nothing good on the curb side. Just to top it all off most stores have indoor trash or compactors. So much usable things going to the landfill. It makes me sick. I went dumpster diving the other night and picked up 1 doggy bag holder, at least the poop bags were still in it. I guess the hood I live in is more tourist than rich.

It’s because they’re lazy and just don’t care as long as it’s gone out of their house/garage. At least put the good stuff in boxes off to the side with a sign that says ‘Free’. So it can be easily seen. thankfully there’s pickers who pull what they can out before it ends up in the landfill.

If people wouldn’t put so many re-usable, re-sellable, or recyclable items in those bags, then they wouldn’t get ripped open. It’s awful that many people throw away good items instead of donating or just leave on the curb with a sign that says ‘Free’, and not in the trash pile.

I do have a nice house and a nice truck. That comes with hard work. But greedy I am not. Grateful I am for being able to rescue this stuff from being taken to the landfill. Newsflash ma’am, but homeless people aren’t walking around these neighborhoods digging through trash. No, actually I am and yes I do keep stuff to sell but if you watch enough of my videos, you’ll see that I take truck loads upon truck loads of goods to local non profits. Including homeless shelters. I can guarantee I’ve donated more this year alone than you have all your life.
