I wish I had seen your videos a long time ago! My hobby is motorcycle restoration and I'd love to send you some stuff for hydro-blasting. I live in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. Now I know 🙂

Great video. Some of these things seem like Black Art till an a bloke like you shares a day. Did you set this cabinet up from a normal blast cabinet or is it bought built for the purpose? Very entertaining as well, thanks

New subscriber here!! I am building a hydroblast cabinet as well as a hot steam washer for really dirty parts. I am in the states. What are the going prices for hydro blasting parts like you do?
@BendigoHydroblasting
@BendigoHydroblasting 14 күн бұрын
Hi John. I charge AU$80 per hour. My rate is a bit less than some others as I work from my home workshop and don’t have the renting related overheads. Hope this helps. Cheers Craig

@@BendigoHydroblasting Wow I just thought I would see what the exchange rate is for US and Australian dollars and I was completely blown away. $80 Australian is $52 American...That was a surprise. I was thinking it was more like $100. Gotta rethink my plans...

@BendigoHydroblasting

Thankyou. Carbs would need to be stripped out prior to blasting. Just a guess but probably around $35-$40 each. Cheers Craig

I'd be more worried about that crack in the frame where the bearings go that's a big issue
@BendigoHydroblasting
@BendigoHydroblasting Ай бұрын
I just had a look at the vid as I saw no cracks when I blasted it. I think that may have been casting marks as I wouldn’t have blasted it if I saw damage. I’ve got another CR frame in the workshop so I’ll sus that out and see if it has the same marks. Thanks for watching. Cheers Craig

How often do you change your media and water?
@BendigoHydroblasting
@BendigoHydroblasting Ай бұрын
I never change out the media as such. As it breaks down it gets lighter and ends up finding its way into my external filtration system and I chuck it out. I just add a kilo or two when I notice it isn’t cleaning properly or there is no glass hanging up on the turntable. And I only change the water when it becomes discolored. Not too often. Cheers Craig
