You dont need to go to an external site for youtube transcript. All you need to do is click the three dots under the video next to the clip button and select video transcript!!!!!!!

A we took this 2:53 mins (whichis against youtube policy) of clip of david goggins from youtube, didn't we get copyright strike? and will our channel be monetized if we are taking such long clips from youtube? 2. You have to make sure the video you want to use is licensed under CC (Creative Commons). If it's under a standard youtube license, then you may get a copyright claim. I would never chance it.

Does that mean we can’t use the video? Or we can only use certain clips? Or we can use the audio only?

You have to be careful with even small clips because if they don’t fall under fair use (meaning you’ve changed the original intent etc) then the owner can still claim the content totally legally and receive any money you would otherwise earn. They can also issue a strike which is a _lot_ worse because if you get 3 of those your channel is terminated. A lot of people get away with it, but a lot of people don’t get away with it. It’s unfair that only some are targeted for termination and others aren’t but it just depends on if the owner catches you using their clips or not D:

he doesn't answer those questions! But you are totally right! There is a conflict of interest: copyright issues that can affect your account! So the idea is great no doubt! but once one post, it is an invitation for trouble!
