This channel has quickly become my favourite KZbin Channel. You have a great way of presenting your clay projects and a really interesting content. I have made three of your round fairy houses so far (but in pinch pots as I am just a beginner and cant throw round forms on the wheel) and one of your fairy tree trunks. Thanks so much I know you say show you but I'm not on other social media platforms, but rest assured you are a great teacher they have come out so well. Thanks again

I have been using the triangle container for the last 7 years for my healing jars. After numerous attempts using the wheel and cutting out triangle shapes, I discovered the absolutely fastest and least problematical way was to make my cylinder, then gently press into the triangle shape. Saves time and my temper! Keep in mind, I'm not making an actual container for objects, as my healing jar uses slips of paper, which are burned to ashes, so the opening is higher at the top and much smaller. The mountains are beautiful and your love of the mountains definitely shows through.

Hi. What can I say! Love these. I'd probably stuff up the lid, but I'd give it a go. You mentioned wheel throwing - not my finest pottery moments. I'll have to practice more, but I love the creativity of hand building my pieces. If I make one of these, I'll show you the end product.

Loved watching you do this project! Definatey inspiring and now I want to do this project for our senior center group of hand builders. I did want to ask where you got your stamp for the bottom from.
@hobblecreekpottery Жыл бұрын
My stamp was printed by Justin Makery from a 3D printer using my logo. This would be a fun project at a senior center!

What part did you grow up in? Yes, once Alaska is in your blood, longing to be back there never leaves.

@hobblecreekpottery Жыл бұрын
There really is no template. I made it on the video, so hopefully, it's easy to follow along and make your own pattern.

Thanks for another fun design! I have a quick question, I understand drawing the cut line on with the pin tool first, but why after that do you trace it with the wood tool before actually cutting it?
@hobblecreekpottery Жыл бұрын
I drew that second line with the original mountains, so muscle memory, from all the ones I made before, but you really don't need too.

And…when you glaze you can use maybe a little lite flux to run in the faceted part, under the edge of lid area… you know what I mean? Not above so it doesn’t seal it shut..
