I use the Pro 2's paraphonic mode to make some weird melodies with trippy delay. Chill song. Reminds me of stumbling upon a crystal in a snowy area and going on a dark funky ride.

You got through all the stress & paranoia & made something beautiful. I wouldn't overthink the computer thing too much, just choose your budget & go for it. I've been living off 2nd hand PCs for years now. If it fires-up, it's useable, maybe some extra RAM & extra in & out fans to keep things cool. Currently I'm using a 10 year old AMD with only 8Gb RAM, x5 HDD inside & another x5 hanging off the USB & x3 Displays. I can watch movies on 1 display while at the same time using the other 2 displays to Cubase & Ableton Rewired & no Hangs or Freeze. I ended up purchasing a dedicated mini keyboard just for Osirus, don't think I'll ever get bored with it, maybe when I get home & purchase a real Virus. Ever since Osirus, your videos became more relavent. The UI is not exactly the same but close enough to appreciate what you're doin. I'll watch the other half later on, Cat Duties call, it never ends.

Thank you! That means a lot to me. I am glad to hear it as I usually keep this kind of music to myself! Wow, no SSD? Do you have the internal HDD in raid? Are you using the onboard sound for the videos and a external audio interface for the DAW? I love my computer and setup. It's quiet, it runs large audio projects without a problem and my interface sounds great even with its idiosyncrasies. Just editing videos is painful. I figured I was set with what I have for life until I started in these videos. I can upgrade my ram, but it is kind of pricey and not sure I want to buy used as it may have been overclocked. I could upgrade the gpu, but my system would bottle neck newer ones. I'm on a 4th gen intel (i7 4970k) that has been fantastic. There was a 12th gen i7 for 200 bucks though! I could've built my comp for about $700 it's just the video card and audio interface driving the costs. Motherboard $250, CPU $200, 32GB 5DDR ram $120, PSU $160 (I like nice PSUs). A nice video card is $600 and the audio interface is $500. I'm going to forget about it. Glad you are finding my virus methods useful. I have been thinking of making another Virus tutorial though those take a lot of time and I haven't had it in me. I appreciate the advice and hope the kitties and shelter are doing okay.

All my HDD are plain old 7200 SATA plugged into the SATA on the MB. The only add-ons are a PCI-USB3 card that gave me x5 USB3, one on the card itself, that's why there's x5 HDD in the box. I've slowly been converting the internal HDDs to 2.5" coz they generate less heat & strain on the PSU & ultimately so I can just pull them when I'm leaving for home. Also, could just case the Boot Drive & USB Boot my Laptop & my machine would appear. Eventually, when I get home, all the drives will be consolidated into a NAS, purchased or self-built. I've been too scared to trust SSD until now because I can't guarantee it's integrity in a country where the AC Voltage fluctuates by up to 20 Volts up & down & sometimes disappears altogether. Yes, have generator & AVR & UPS but still. Anyhoo, I would like to try one now, just as a Boot drive with all my software on the next drive along, just to see what difference it makes to Windows. No Audio Interface until now coz none required, no external audio to input so all audio coming off the on-board MB audio. The on-board Mic Input works good enough for when I get the urge to Vocode.

@@AA-ge4uj Ha, on board mic for vocoding sounds like it would actually be cool! Probably has a little grit to it. I could never figure out the Virus's vocoder though haven't tried hard. There are a lot of things you have to think about with your drives. Very smart to think about bring them back home and keeping them small. I worry about brown outs, but they only happen a few times a year. Sounds like it's at least once a month for you! I will say that having a bunch of small HDDs is kind of comical. Probably makes for a great small pc
