As someone who loves books but doesn't read as much as she should, I always love hearing about your thoughts on series etc. It's so refreshing and you've inspired me to start reading again. I've also brought the planner too!! ❤

I’m really happy to hear that! I’ll continue talking about them in my vlogs!

I genuinely like your synopsis of the books. As someone who is not as avid a reader, I like that personal feedback so I know what to spend my time on. Honestly don't think you need to change anything about your book segment. Love everything that you do; you're the reason my passion with bracelet making has stayed so strong!

I just love listening to whatever you decide to share with us, I am not really into young adult or modern literature in general so it's really exciting for me to get to know some of those books and maybe try something new) Your vlogs always feel like listening to a friend during a phone call, so just keep doing what you love 💜

I care about books. I like hearing what they’re about and what you like or don’t like about them (they help me decide whether to read a certain book/series or not).

I have been tracking my bracelets since I started making them! I track the "name" (in the case of alphas where I want to have a general idea of what I made), the dates I started/finished, if it's finished or unfinished, who currently has it (I might've given it away), and the pattern #. Also, yes, please tell us what the books are about! I'm a reader but not that serious (school and stuff gets in the way sometimes), and sometimes I have no clue what the books are about and I like to have a general idea before I get them :)

It's sooooo interesting to me how two people can have such different reading experiences! I thought Throne Of Glass and Crown Of Midnight were both terrible. I'm one of the people who says it picks up at Heir Of Fire. I loved the series by the end. I thought Kingdom Of Ash was a masterpiece. I normally drive or make bracelets or do chores while listening to audiobooks, but I legit just lay on my bed for 3 hours straight listening to Kingdom Of Ash when I was reading it! I thought it was soooo wildly fun and entertaining, like I genuinely cannot comprehend how you thought it was boring! So fascinating honestly! Oh well! I hope you enjoy your next reads more!!

Love! I haven't knotted in so long *sigh* What thread do you use for your base strings?
@annagerlach1981 Жыл бұрын
i was literally just thinking that i want more context about the books you talk about when you mentioned it! please do include introductions and more detailed opinions if you feel like it. i do read a bit but i’ve honestly just liked keeping up with you for the last 4 years, so i watch every minute of all your videos!

I like little pitches for the basic plot of the books, but they don’t have to be super detailed just basic ideas
@clara7971 Жыл бұрын
Hi! How do you do it so that your base threads do not get tangled?
@audreysnyder6272 Жыл бұрын
You should just read the summary on the book so we can get the general idea. Also are you gonna rank the bracelets for this year? Please do!!!

Can you elaborate about how you tab your books and why you tab them? I've never really understood that. Is there a purpose or is it just for fun? Thank you!
@MashaKnots Жыл бұрын
I think everyone has their own reasons. I just tab bits that I like or maybe find funny or heartwarming. Things I’d like to reread at some point when I’m reminiscing over a book. Plot twists too or sometimes just beautiful writing

I will eventually when I refine it, for now it’s just columns that are labelled, there’s no special formulas

Sigh, Maas... I read the first book in Throne of Glass, thought about reading the second one, and instead of reading it, I just looked up a synopsis and decided I was not interested in the series at all. Maybe it's because I tried to start reading them when I was like 25? And I've really outgrown the type of books Throne of Glass is by now. I read the ACOTAR series as well when I was ~21 and it was entertaining, but now I just read adult romance instead of an upper teen/"new adult" romance. I've read a lot of books and have been reading for a long time, so Maas just isn't my taste. I think she's this YA generation of Stephenie Meyer: a gateway author to get people interested in reading. (Admittedly, the Twilight series is an entertaining re-read now, but I was really into them when I was 14! Not to the degree that some fans were, but still enjoyed them.) Lots of people have gotten into reading because of ACOTAR and Throne of Glass; that's not a bad thing and it's okay to dislike popular books. I'm looking for more adult fantasy now, so if you end up reading some, please post the recs! I've seen other vloggers do bookvlogs/reading vlogs to update people on what they're reading.
