Putting this on here so you might see it, weaving the ends in is definitely not that fun but I suggest holding them against your work and crocheting over them, that way you came eave them in as you go and you will only have the last end you make to weave in. 🥰

Way to go!! I taught myself to crochet when I was pregnant with my 5th child and my first big project was a simple granny square blanket. I was so proud of that thing 😅 I’ve now been crocheting for 20+ years and am completely obsessed! I average about 3 hours a day and I even branded myself with a cute crochet themed tattoo on my left wrist 😂 Crocheting is absolutely my therapy and I love seeing younger people getting into it more!

Great job! I taught myself how to crochet almost 5 years ago and one thing that I learned quickly, is how to crochet over my ends, as I go. I hate weaving in ends, so it makes crochet way less annoying. Of course, you still have to sew the granny squares and eyes together, so there's lots of sewing anyway. Bravo for finishing your project, because I have blankets that I haven't finished yet🤭

@Preshlafinesse Do you know what blocking is? I had to learn this the hard way because I hate blocking, but it does help when your project likes to curl in on itself. IMPORTANT: Never use a hot iron on any of your projects. It will melt the yarn, especially if it's acrylic yarn. Basically you need a foam mat (you can use one of those that they sell for children's playrooms. A lot cheaper than the specialized crochet ones), rust free long pins, and a misting spray. Just pin the crochet item onto the foam mat and then lightly mist it with water. Then you just let it dry.
