Thank you! It's really motivational to hear kind words from fellow artists. I've been trying to practice enough to get good enough to sell my stuff, but I don't want to disappoint anyone with the random flaws they may find in my work. At some point soon though, I'm just going to go for it and see what happens. Maybe price things super low and raise when my craftsmanship progresses? The anxiety about how to package and ship things is definitely a hill to get over, though. 😅

omg the little guys are soooooo cute! I do wonder if maybe the clay was too dry from the beginning to crack like that, did it crack any while you were sculpting? You could try some clay softener to see if that helps.

It didn't crack while I was sculpting! I think the problem might be that during my first try with the oven, I didn't have the oven thermometer yet, so the oven was hotter than it said it was? Maybe? Either that, or I let them sit around too long while I was working on stuff, and they started to dry out a bit? I've noticed that if I come back to working on something, it seems less pliable until I heat it up in my hands a little and re-condition it. But if something is already sculpted, I can't really mush it around, so in that case, maybe it stays a little dried out/brittle? I'm not really sure what the answer is! But anyway thank you so much for your comment and tips! :)

lovely video again! It’s funny to see your trial and errors because it’s exactly what i’m struggling with too 😂 wonderful little forest friends, the turned out great! ❤

@@NimAndThings oh you too? 😅 yeah, I sorta wanted to show the reality of starting out, rather than just a highlight reel. I feel like its demotivating to see only artists who are way ahead of you. 🥲 hoping that seeing a realistic journey helps someone out. 🍓

You can make bigger figurines or sculpts outta polymer clay just use armatures and aluminum foil

@@poocky100 ohhhh yesss, I forget about that! I don't think it'd be a good option for keychains (or maybe biiiiggg keychains for folks like me who lose their keys constantly? 😂) but for sure things like larger desktop friends etc. 💖
