the olive conversation speaks to my heart. i always thought i hated olives...until i realized the different kinds lol. kalamata were my gateway, and objectively the best olive. and then i warmed up to green olives, and *now* i've discovered i have preferences in the varieties and brands of green olives! fuck black olives tho, still hate those. and now im extra angry i assumed all olives were bad because of them. an example for those particularly interested, ive discovered there is a difference in the flavor between the queen olive (large, green, often stuffed) and the smaller green olives.
