No wonder Nepalese artisans are known in Tibet since 7AD in Tibet. The Royal and monastery hire the Nepalese artisan over 1300 years.

Bravo to these skillful Nepali Newari Buddhist craftsmen. Indeed Buddhists culture in Nepal is still alive because of Newari artists like him and Newari Vajrayana, culture.Theravada and Himali Buddhists contribution.Century long oppression on Buddhists from the Monarchs to this day and age in Nepal could not make Buddhist and Buddha dhamma wipe out and despair.Buddhists and Buddha dhamma rose through against all odds, oppression and found it's ground to influence even more Buddhists around the world. "Om Vajra Guru Pema Sidhi Huien"

But sadly the world sees Buddhism in Nepal as Tibetan Buddhism while Newari Buddhism gets little to no credit or acknowledgement at all

Nepalese bronze casting process is the ancient method of crafting process, which has been passed on by ancestors of Newari shakya clan who acquired this art during their frequent trade visit to Tibet in their past. According to Stella Karmrish (in her book The Art of Nepal) “The Newars however formed the bulk of the ancient inhabitants of the valley of Katmandu It is they who created the art of Nepal”.

I am very thrilled to see this wonderful brief video of the work of Raj Kumar Shakya, grandson of the famed historical master Kuber Singh Shakya. I studied with this family under Rajkumar's brother Rabindra Shakya for my 2011-2012 Fulbright Fellowship for which I pioneered and established the first synthesis of repoussé and contemporary painting; "The Prakriti Project." I am proud and profoundly honored to have studied with this noble family of masters, who rightfully are to be considered National Living Treasures of Nepal. This repoussé colossus of Padmasambhava is now second only to the American Statue of Liberty in height, and is unique in housing within itself a fully functioning monastic dwelling.

All these people build the statue and then pray to it - how can anyone believe that something built, can really have divine powers?
