Used to love listening to Alabama when they played at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach before they hit it big. The wife and I have followed Home Free ever since they won the Sing Off competition. Two awesome groups!

Just found this but can't stop listening. This is the song I recorded on cassette my first Christmas away from home, in the Army in Georgia. Seeing y'all sing it with Alabama is incredible! This is such a great collab and the sound and quality is amazing. As good and in some ways better (for clearer voices) than the original. Thank you SO much for this!

I saw them just before they blew up the radio. They were Opening act for Little Jimmy Dickens. The show was held at the Markesan High School. My parents always had to be EARLY to arrive for every thing. So we sat maybe 2nd or 3rd row back from the stage and the boys from Alabama were doing sound checks. I was a teenager and bored (it was an hour or so before the show and I was with my parents) so I was teasing with these, then unknown to me, young men about their count... (test test 1 3 1 2 test test) you know how it goes checking and counts are about the quality OF the sounds not order .. I didn't then (I was maybe 14). So smart ass me was giggling and commenting filling in the skipped over ...it was so repetitive that I thought "these poor sound guys" so I just started talking at them trying to draw them into (lame) conversation to break the boredom...and these guys were funny and willing to play back and time past faster because these guys were willing to engage with an annoying teen. Then the lights get dimmed and seats are filled .. out come Yup opening act Alabama (yeah those "poor sound check guys") who proceed to tease me from the stage every chance they got. LOLOL Lesson learned ! Not every Entertainer (Opener or Headliner) delegates tasks or responsibilities to others. The Truly Great ones do those jobs without complaint setting the example , they don't forget what it felt like to do all the work tired , so they treat their crew well because they remember. I'm grateful Alabama knew the difference between Boredom and bad attitudes. They chose to humor me It made an impression on me then (and still decades later). I chose to value the ones that build from Kindness. #HomeFree#HomeFreeValues#AlabamaKindness
