That's part of what made it so good. Not the fact they're famous, but the writing and voice acting was next level. Then playing Bethesdas Fallouts and going bad to poorly written dialogue and only a few bad to mediocre voice actors. It's a shame they couldn't get the voice actors back after the dlcs, but it's understandable that they didn't have the budget. There's very few games made these days which have anywere near this amount of love and care put into them, especially from AAA studios.

Fallout 3 has a direct path, like fallout 4, and IDEK where to begin with fallout 76. Bethesda completely changed fallout from little intricacies like molerats to the psykers, re-using the enclave and BOS in fallout 3 and completely ruining both factions, so on. Lol

Note to self 0:43 1:23 Matthew Perry voiced Benny in 2010's Fallout: New Vegas, which came after Perry's revelation that he was a huge fan of the Fallout series. Perry revealed on Ellen that he played so much Fallout 3 he began to develop carpal tunnel syndrome and had to see a doctor. Perry also gave Ellen Degeneres a copy of the game, which ultimately led to his role in Fallout: New Vegas.

I'd say VtM Bloodlines is a true magnum opus, but NV definitely deserves to be close. Recent years also gave us Disco Elysium and Baldur's Gate 3 both of which may be considered to be part of the conversation
