I had the ultimate pleasure of working on this production while they were filming at the Honolulu Zoo, which was the first day of shooting. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire crew, especially the Director, Colin Trevorrow. I'm now very excited to hear that they may be making a sequel - with any luck, maybe I can do that one too! Fingers crossed!

I went to the kualoa ranch and got to see the indominous paddock. Props to Clair for walking up those stairs in heels because the steps are steel and have holes. Like old steel stairs. Very scary walking up them

The scene where the Apatosaurus (Brontosaurus) dies is very sad that it made me cry when I saw it. The sad music, the dying animal, and Claire shedding a tear really hit hard on my emotions.

As a scenery builder, it always amuses me when an actor uses a 'concrete' stairway and you can hear that they are walking on a wooden structure. Famously in "Independence Day", Jeff Goldblum slams a whisky bottle down on the 'concrete' window sill.. hollow bang.

So much of this film is just updated scenes from the first one. The fallen brontosaurus was exactly the same as the sick triceratops. The gyroscope ride getting stuck and attacked was the jeep tour scene with the trex, the nanny dying over the top when her character didn’t deserve it was the lawyer. They just didn’t have any new ideas.
