I think a nice plot for Saw XI could be Hoffman's spiral into madness. At the beginning of his career, he joined the force as an honest cop; he was genuinely a good person who wanted to save lives and carry out justice. I think there's room here to finally expand on his lore other than he just had a sister who died. We can see how her death, and potentially other factors, sent him down a bad path, and the movie would explain and give us his pov on his journey towards becoming a monster (because I believe he was aware of the impact the games had on his psyche. he didn't want to torture people, but being at John's side and being forced to watch the suffering of others transformed his savior complex into a genuine desire to hurt others, guilty or not).

I think Hoffman should have his own series with one hour episodes. They could make it non canon and I'd still watch. Or they could make more movies with him as the true successor to jigsaw ignoring older movies .

Love the video and I get the point being made, but important to note it’s not the first time a kid is in a SAW movie/trap (Diana Gordon in Saw, and a teenager but Daniel Matthews in Saw II). All kids were innocent but I think the difference was how lovable Carlos was and the relationship he had with John that made John more personable. I think Carlos helped to humanise John and Carlos cared so much about John he risked his own life without question which is why we all cared so much about the little sweetie 🥺

I absolutly loved this movie. The story has it's flaws but the traps were absolutely top notch and it felt like a AAA horror movie again. After the last 3 saw movies I thought it's over but X gives me hope for a nice future of the Series. Thanks for these insights in the backstage!

Cool plot for Saw XI. Hear me out, y'all: I shared one idea on a deleted scenes video of Cecilia escaping after John and Amanda leave with Carlos. Cecilia is a doctor, so maybe in the next film it would take place between 2 and 3, to which that time period is when Hoffman had blackmailed Amanada into shooting Lynn, which lead to her getting shot by the husband and dying. I don't remember if it was revealed how Hoffman got ahold of the blackmail information, but if it's a plothole, then Saw XI could perfectly fill it. Cecilia could have gotten transferred to the clinic where Jill Tuck works, and Jill could have shared her story about how Cecil caused her to lose her baby. Cecilia could have learned that Cecil was Amanda's boyfriend and searched for security footage to prove that Amanda was there. Once found, she could have either shown that information to Jill or turned it into the police with hopes of catching John and Amanda, unaware that Hoffman was an accomplice all along. This could be a dual timeline film like Jigsaw, where it shows half the film taking place in the past and the other half in the present, revealing in the end that it was dual all along. This could be a clever way of looping Carlos into this; he could have caught wind of John and Amanda's deaths or somehow become intertwined in their lives. In the post-credits of Saw VI, Amanda was seen talking to Lynn's daughter through a door wishing she could save her. Maybe she had a soft spot for Carlos as well. However it happens, Carlos could have grown up and gotten revenge on Cecilia for their deaths. The Carlos plot might be a bit of a stretch, but I think the first half of this rant would be perfect for Saw XI

They would need to play things out carefully. I love Tobin Bell as much as anyone, but if the series insists on using flashbacks and keeping John "alive", he may have maybe two or 3 movies left. Even if he leaves, The Spiral killer and Logan are still out there in the present day. Saw X was just a flash back, not a single scene took place areound the same time or even after the events of Jigsaw or Spiral. It could be that they are "undoing" those 2 movies, but it is called Saw Ten, meaning that they are still canon. I happen to love Spiral, and would love to see where it goes next, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for Logan and Schenk.
