I know it has been on tv a lot lately. I went to purchase a vcr on ebay and the seller showed a picture of the vcr alongside a small tv monitor. The tv monitor showed a still from this movie. #YouCan'tEscapeSpeed

I really like that they actually rigged up actual buses to film many of the bus scenes in this movie, and that most of the airport scenes were actually filmed there. The scene of the bus crashing into the plane as it explodes was filmed at Mojave Desert tho as, from what I read, the Los Angeles Airport didn’t want to unnecessarily frighten the passengers there. If this was filmed today there would be so much CGI instead of practical effects, and I’m pretty sure LAX today would not allow them to film the movie there due to all the security concerns that have arisen since the making of this movie.

Speed was released June of 1994 6 months before Dumb & Dumber was released in December of 1994.
