Its my favorite game of all time. My only issue with the game was that I thought dragoon forms were somewhat irrelevant. Except for Meru. Her healing rain is great.

I wish they would just remaster this game already with some trophy/achievement support. This game never got the recognition it deserved, it came out for ps1 right when ps2 dropped….this is by far one of the best games ever made and deserves a remaster atleast to bring it back to light….I’ve heard remake here and there, a remake would ruin it and most likely turn it into every other action based jrpg nowadays because that’s all game companies make anymore…this unique turn based strategy and an amazing story is what made the most money, not sure why game companies switched it up..but none have made sales like they once did when games like these existed.

Far from it but worthy competition IMO nonetheless. Surprised the game so as well as it did given it released on the PS1 when the PS2 was getting all the attention. Not to mention with competition like Final Fantasy VIII released a year prior and FFIX the same year as the U.S. release of TLoD. Hell, FFX was less then a year away too at the time...

I hope we get a new, GOOD installment within The Legend of Dragoon on PS5 someday. A remake that expands upon and respects the lore, tone, and characters would be nice. A prequel set during the Dragon Campaign the the original Dragoons like Zieg, Rose, Damia, Shirley (and possibly even Dragoons we never knew about during that era), etc. There is more than 11,000 years of lore to work with.

the previews of this game from the specialized video-game magazines or sites were waaaayyy too exaggerated!... not that they were always wrong about it in their comments, but also not always right about it, LoD - Legend of Dragoon...

Was great until you had to lvl up the lead female protagonist character & use her bow shot to replenish health to the team & do considerable damage to the final boss to actually beat him. Too bad for me I didn't want to go through a 4disc game again to lvl her up. You can only use 3 characters to really play with at a time & there were cooler characters to get down with, game didn't let you know you needed her lvled up to actually beat the game. Like at least 5 rounds of final boss health bar drain, I ended up using all my potions by that point. Oh well

I don't think I was even using her by the end of the game. Rose and Meru are arguably better characters iirc. Pretty sure you also get access to shops within the final dungeon for healing items. Albert and Haschel are also great options. Arguably better than Rose, but I just like to use her tbh lol
