Paul there are those that "can" and those that "cant" but mostly there are those that "cant be bothered". Making shit has it own rewards particularly when fishing. Top video as always
@ratdog30557 жыл бұрын
Making vs buying not only lets you experiment with what you want, it gives you a great deal of satisfaction when it works to or beyond your expectations. Whether it is lures, feeders or whatever, making it yourself adds to the total fun of fishing (or any other hobby).

Love the commentary that goes along with your videos. It's like spending the day with a friend in his workshop. And then we get to go fishing.

@PaulAdamsTheHandmadeFisherman7 жыл бұрын
i went to a very odd school were we had no workshops or shop classes it was all academic, I think if would of had shop as part of school I may of stayed on for highers, school just was not for me. But i still get excited like child opening a mold be it sand or silicone to see what is inside and as you know sand casing is as old as time.

We love that you share what you make. We like to make stuff too & we've learned a lot from you. Last weekend I caught over a dozen carp on your milk bottle top feeder. I don't know why but it seems to catch more fish than my method feeders. I tried all day to get a 2nd rod in the water, but my bite alarm would go off before I could get the second rod baited! Thanks for sharing these awesome videos.
@PaulAdamsTheHandmadeFisherman7 жыл бұрын
They are so much fun the bottle tops, i have had some crazy afternoons with them when you almost get bored of catching but the funny things is when people ask you what your catching on and you show them. Keep on making the vids, one rod , one float and tin of corn, great stuff and thanks

Those movies where you have sort of an parallel commentary story really hits the right spot for me. Always leaves me a bit thoughtful and wanting to make more gear. I think that is was the one about the reed float that did the same, and I'm happy you picked it up again. Well also a nice build on the side, but that goes without saying

HIYA PAL I MADE A COUPLE OF OPEN ENDED FEEDERS WITH OUT THE WELDING AND MORE THIN METAL PLATES AND SCREWS AND THE FACT IV MADE REAL BIG FEEDERS JUST FOR MY FIRST 10/12 CAST THEN A SHORTER FEEDER TO FISH OVER THE TOP ? THE FEELING OF PULLING OUT A FEW BREAM WITH ONE IS SOMEHOW FANTASTIC ! IV GOT SO MANY VARIABLES AND COLOURS AND NO HOLES IN SOME DEPENDING ON DEPTH OR STRIKE ? ANYWAY ? GREAT FUN TO FISH WITH AND VERY EASY TO MAKE "IF I CAN DO IT " : ) : )

Bien cordialement.

Yup, if you need to ask "why?" then you've missed the point. Floats, sinkers, jigs, a trailer for the car, a sports car chassis, ham radio aerials, and more - most are cheaper to buy, but there's no fun in that. I've had the fun. The 'why-ers' have missed it.
