As a diesel mechanic, that old stuff is simple. Reverse engineer that glow plug thing. Then make it better and what makes yalls life easier. All it does is send voltage to heat up the cylinders via the glow plugs so the engine can do compression things. That's why a diesel engine doesn't need spark plugs and that's why they hate the cold. Hence block heaters. Science man. You cam fix that cheap and not spend 600 for a part that is hard to find. Old stuff is easier to find than new stuff! Edit: glow plugs are there to get a certain temp for combustion to happen during the compression cycle. If you can get the glow plugs to heat up your cylinder enough to make the diesel fuel and air make a boom, then fire. Cummins engines don't have glow plug. They have a intake heater which helps them fire right up in negative temps. My 88 7.3 needs a few cycles for the glow plugs to fire up in neg temps. Wire you glow plug module to a plug then figure out how to make your own glow plug module. That'll be premium!
@1187titaniumАй бұрын
For ice studs the more random and staggared the better. Studs that line up are just slipping in the groove the previous one made
