i think Layla abandon Carlos because she was so stressed out with her life, and felt guilty, she wanted to give Carlos what she deemed as a better life. She was too ashamed to give him to Caleb because oh my god that history is soooo messy....However, the other kids were already too old so they would remember Layla, while Carlos was pretty young so he doesnt really remember. The twins dont remember having a third brother because they were too young, but still remembered Layla. It makes more sense than it being a siren thing or prophecy imo :')

The comment about the gossip girl, how u said "I'm not making them date even tho they share a sibling". Riverdale is like that too. In one of the series and episode, Jughead and Betty who are dating find out that they share the same older brother, Charles.

About the vet fridge, if U make treats people will buy from the fridge. So it's a way to make money too, but don't pay much
