I found an article about where the paint sap green comes from. It comes from phthalo green mostly! They sell it as Hookers Green (leans on the blue side) and Sap Green (leans on the yellow side)

Good news! Looking forward to seeing your painting time lapse when it comes out!

Originally sap green came from a species of buck thorn berries. I plan on experimenting with making pigment from my local buck thorn variety berries very soon.

Ok so I know this is more pricey, but what if you tried your own version of the Daniel Smith Primatek paints? (they`re made from minerals, like amethyst and such)

I really really want to, especially that vegetale pigments fade so quickly. Ive taken a break from the videos but when I start again I think ill get a ball mill and make some of those

have you ever tried making a lake pigment from beetroot?

Have you tried doing a lake pigment from it? That might work better. It seems that straight organic material has difficulties...like turmeric powder.
