You make it look so easy and your soaps always come out so beautiful! At first with this one, I thought maybe the green and charcoal would be too much dark color. But I was so wrong! This is a gorgeous soap. I have another couple of questions if that is okay. My soap is coming out really hard and when I go to cut it the edges don't come out smooth but literally crumbly or break off in chunks. Why is it getting so hard, do you think I am using too much lye? Also, my soap has come out with no fragrance at all after I put in a lot of it. As a matter of fact, the smell isn't very good at all kind of like burned, I am so hoping the burn smell goes away. Does a fragrance return as the soap cures or should I buy different fragrances? My mistakes are costing me a lot of money, this isn't a cheap hobby as I am sure you know. But I'd really like to master it. Thank you for another wonderful video, even though it makes me jealous (lol).

Hello Miss Melody, thanks for your comments. You are right soap design-making is not easy. Thank you for asking me questions. First, might your Lye is too much or "heavy". Try to use the ratio of 2:1 or 25% of lye in your recipe. 2nd, might that be the cause of why your fragrance smell like burned because of heavy lye. You can send me your recipe and I can check it for you if the lye is heavy. Don't stop practicing, you can master it along the way. Enjoy making soap it's more fun. Thank you very much of keep watching me. 💖

@@Mandingliza4563 Wow, that was a fast response, much appreciated! Yes you are correct, lye heavy. I went back and checked my recipe and I was not using the correct oil weights. I did make some coffee soap today and it turned out perfect, so I did in fact find the issue. I also took your direction from the video to melt my solid oils first rather than putting them into the lye and letting them melt from the lye's heat. It worked so much better for me so I thank you so much for that! I really look forward to your videos and you have the perfect voice, a true pleasure to listen to. And you make things easy to understand which I love. I am hoping that at some point in the future that you would consider teaching us how to use the soap calculator. It really confuses me, and I would guess that other new soap-makers like myself could benefit from some instruction on how to use it. I simply use a recipe from another creator here on youtube, but I would like to learn how to do my own just like you do. Thank you for your kind response and of course I really look forward to your next creation!
