Sea moss is alive when you make the gel! If you replace your lid with a cheese cloth or a thin rag so it can breathe it can last up to 4 weeks! It'll last 3 weeks with the lid, its full of health benefits i own a sea moss business and i love helping others. I was 320lbs, pre diabetic, chronic fatigue, ciatic nerves, constipation, mucus in my lungs, migraines, all kinds of stuff. Sea Moss is Amazing! And high in collagen, hence perfect for soap! I make shampoo bars as well!

I do a 1:1 lye/water and the rest of the water I replace with SeaMoss. I also blend SeaMoss with oils, add lye water and hand mix. That’s a little advanced, get used to working with the SeaMoss and go for it. Also use that water the SeaMoss was soaking in.

Hello and thank you for the advice💕 I used the water it was soaking in just not all of it lol. Question, when adding sea moss to oils do you have issues with it speeding up trace? Thanks again❤️

@@3baashandmadesoaps937 The short answer is no, because I am hand mixing, noting yes SeaMoss accelerates, I can tell when it’s time to pour. Again it takes time to learn how SeaMoss works in soap.

Hey so um I saw your sea moss video and I was wondering if you can redo a similar sea moss soap video with citric acid in it this time because what worries me is that without citric acid there maybe a chance for soap scum and rancidy also known as DOS (dreaded orange spots) for your Sea moss soap that you’re taking a chance to experiment with and I’ve looked for a seaweed soap recipe with citric acid and I can’t seem to find any all over the web.
@tweetyb421 Жыл бұрын
@@tiamccarthy9942Just a note…if you search using critic acid in CP soap, you’ll find that it’s the play between the lye and the citric acid that needs to be addressed…you will have to add back to the lye, the amount you used in citric acid because it eats the lye…and that’s for any soap…

Is lye safe for skin even mixed with soap
@3baashandmadesoaps937 Жыл бұрын
Hey so lye isn’t mixed with soap. Lye is mixed with oils/butters (fats) and then is converted into soap. After the conversion (saponification process) no more lye is present in the finished product which is also known as soap. Your soap is then safe to use. Lye is never mixed with soap. Lye is the main ingredient to make soap. I hope this helps.

@@3baashandmadesoaps937 Ok ✅ 💯one more question after I’m done mixing a lye solution do I put it down the drain or toilet or what??
@3baashandmadesoaps937 Жыл бұрын
The lye solution gets mixed with the oils. The only thing you will have to clean is the empty container. When I clean my lye container I like to rinse the empty container first with cold water then I pour that down the drain. Make sure to wear your gloves during the cleanup process. After I rinse the container I then proceed to wash it out with soapy water. Some will let their containers sit for a day and that is fine too. Just be sure to wear gloves while cleaning up.
