I would like to start trying the hot process method for shampoo and conditioner- so far I make cold bars pressed with bath bomb molds ... would you be able to point me to a starter recipe for the hot method? Once I have a starting point for ratios I can formulate my own recipe

Is it possible to make shampoo bars using the cold process soap method? I’ve got all the stuff for that. Otherwise I would need to locate and order a lot of unfamiliar products but is something I would like to try as well as conditioner bars. Thank you for this video.

The pH is too high, it will lift the cuticle of the hair and damage it.

Sadie Di Angelo I don’t know that purple mice would do much. I think you should look into water soluble dyes as this is usually what blonde hair “blue shampoo” has

Rhonda Hoke yes they are! This specific formula we have tested on both natural and coloured hair since last July and it doesn’t accelerate the fading of the hair color.

Artiefrog these are all naturally derived surfactants, even though their names sound awful! I am using some of the most gentle surfactants on the market. 😊

I love that you use local botanicals in your products. I'm always infusing oils or brewing something up. I prefer nature. I don't see a whole lot of people that do that, and I appreciate seeing what you come up with.

Well I get it in a block and then I chunk it up! You can buy wafers from some suppliers, I don't mind having to break it up.

Where do get the Danox HC-30? How does it compare to BTMS 50? And why not use BTMS 50? Also, what is the name of the SCMI? Sorry, I'm partially deaf and can't hear what you call it.

Does Danox HC-30 replace BTMS-50 or BTMS-25 in a conditionner recipe?

Yes it does..it also has a few other wonderful ingredients it replaces if you use in your recipe like CTAC..if you look up Danox on the website it has a great print out of all the info..in my recipe for solid conditioner I had to go up an extra 10%
