I made my first set of your conditioner bars around Nov 17 23 and have been using it since! I have long curly hair and am in love! It took me a while to get used to a solid bar, but its getting easier! Just have to remember to keep it wet while running it through my hair and that works best for me. But i have to tell you this! I notice a HUGE difference in the amount of hair loss during conditioning and combing!! I would have to clean my shower drain out several times a week and now, its been weeks!! (That has NEVER happened before!) And my wide tooth comb that i use would be FULL of hair in a few days so much so that i would have to cut the hair off with scissors (gross i know!) But its amazing the difference!! This is awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!! Ive been sharing the conditioner bars with my friends and family!! And they love it! I tell everyone you are my fav soap KZbinr and you are like the "Martha Stewart" of soaping (but meant in the highest of respect... not the jail stuff!) Thanks again!

I was converted to shampoo and conditioner bars about 2 years ago and can't imagine going back to commercial products. My hair is so much happier! I actually only condition about every 2-3 shampoos as the bar conditioner is that effective. I've been considering trying to make my own and now I just might give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

What brand do you normally use? They are so expensive that I don't want to do trial and error and waste my money to research. I would rather buy one that works. I am also allergic to regular soap so I am not sure if that wouldn't make me itchy as well🤔🤕

These are just gorgeous bars! I love shampoo and conditioner bars. They last sooo much longer than bottled shampoos & conditioners. I use BTMS-50 in my deep conditioning bars and BTMS-25 IN my light to regular shampoo & conditioner bars. I love all kinds of butters in my bars, eslecially Murumuru Butter. It does make a slightly darker bar, but it is an excellent butter for hair. Also a bit of Cupuacu Butter is nice. Thanks for sharing! Jill Gross

Very interesting to watch. The only thing I dont like about those round ones is that they are so slippery when they're wet that they're hard to hang on to and i keep dropping the bar in the shower and hard to keep ahold of. But I've used the conditioner bars my sister makes and they do work good and help after using the shampoo bar. As when i use the shampoo var it makes my hair feel like dull and weird, so i need the conditioner bars to make my hair softer and more manageable. I want to get some again one of these days. Thanks for the good video. 😊

@@monikaykataria3838 for hair care you will use 1-8 % of your recipe. If the recipe calls for 2 gr of BTMS 25 and you are using BTMS 50, then you will use only 1 gr. I hope this makes sense, thank you

Hi, I’m about to make this recipe but also wanted to use BTMS 50 so instead of 13oz I would be using 6.5?
@cliviascreations2 ай бұрын
@@GenesisCespedes basically the number stands for the moisturizer concentration, so 50 has double amount compared to the 25. If the recipe calls for 25 and you have the 50, use half and viceversa, if the recipe calls for 50 and you just have the BTMS 25 , use double. In my experience it’s not exactly all the times so make small batch and test it to see how do you like it. I prefer the 50 because of our hair texture. Thank you

thank you for the packaging idea, but I would like to ask, why do you use stearic acid and btms together? stearic acid is an anionic and negatively charged emulsifier, and btms is a cationic and positively charged emulsifier. they are not compatible together. you should use only non-ionic emuls. with cationic together. for example cetearyl alc, or maybe more cetyl alc instead of stearic acid, what is the reason that you use all these together....?

Its before i pour them and they got pretty hard. Its when i pour in the optiphen at the end, it made it a little foamy, so when i poured my 1st 3 or 4 the foam poured out with them. But all the others looked normal. So not sure. Maybe it was my optiphen. I purchased off amazon.

I can’t wait to try this recipe. May I substitute the powder form of Vit B5 for a liquid form? If so, how much should I add? Thank you!
@EllenRuthSoap11 ай бұрын
Yes, you can sub with the liquid form. I'm not sure of the concentration of the liquid, so I'm not sure how much??

Hi Ellen, loved this receipe. I attempted to make it however my mixture I noticed solidifyed pretty quickly as I was cooling it to put in the preserative. Just wondering did I make a mistake. I used all your list of ingredients. Thank you so much Ellen for your brillant formulas ❤

This combo of ingredients does firm up quickly when cooled, it's okay to gently warm it a bit for a more fluid pour.

Could I please ask do you have the percentage rates of the ingredients? As I converted it to grams and then tried to work out percentage rates as, I only made a small batch. Many thanks

Ellen HI! Love all your receipts..thanks for sharing..i got a question about your conditioning bar..would it need to cured?
@EllenRuthSoap5 ай бұрын
They don't need a cure time like soap, but I let them sit for a week before wrapping..

I love this thank you! Will you have some more love bar scent available? Also I have a friend who makes soap and wanted to get her a stamp like yours. Do you know where to find them? Thank you so much! 🧡💛 Much love and thanks from Colorado!💚

I just restocked the Love scent in the shop❣️ And there's a link for the soap stamp in the description box.

HI! I was wondering why a preservative was needed if water was not included in the ingredients? Thank you so much!
@EllenRuthSoap9 ай бұрын
Because this bar is made to be used on wet hair and in a shower type enviroment, the preservative is a good precaution against bacteria build up.

I wonder if you could use one of those small immersion hand blenders for the glycerin and B5? Thank you for sharing all of this information! I’m very curious about shampoo & conditioner bars! ( I just went to purchase a set but see you’re only selling shampoo bars at the moment. Do you plan on carrying conditioner again?)

Thanks for checking, I'm phasing out all non-soapy items, so I won't be restocking these.
