The problem was that he only had 3 combo strings and no launches, so you can’t actually combo and at any reasonably high standard of play he will almost always get blocked, he needed something like red hoods mine in place of like his df2 or db2 as a launch so it takes away at least one zoning tool and encourages closer play

Deadshot is a great character to play as in my view, which is why he is my main. He can be annoying if a deadshot player just sits at the back and keeps spamming his ranged attacks. A counter for this is to just jump as much as possible and attack while in the jump, as not many of deadshot attacks can go that high, and the odd one that does won't do much damage. When playing a deadshot make sure to get in close be for the player can start his spam of death.

That’s the problem, it’s so easy to create space, all it takes is like one assassins knee and a db3 and there goes any ground made, even his only 2 good combos b233 and b12u3 are both push always, I love dead shot but there’s just no way of playing him non spammy and annoying without directly putting yourself at a severe disadvantage

All about your play style. I go to single player and learn. Then to practice and try all their combos.. then single fight against your character on very hard to see how the PC mixes them together and from there.. multiverse or multiplayer This isn't a precise but it's what I do... Kinda. I complete the learn then practice combos, single fight, then go online
